Meleski - a place under the sun with a glorious past but sad present. The glass factory, that once powered the whole village has been out of business for years and is still seeking its place in today's world, hosting some summer plays for "Ugala" theatre in 2011. The idea and plan of making the glass factor into a so-called culture-factory is still waiting on paper, collecting dust.
Until some beautiful day in the future only the wind flows between the empty buildings, the sun warms the gigantic chimney and the local men spend their days drinking beer at the bus stop.
The old glass factory that is in private property, the glass museum (also in private property) that can be visited by making a pre-arrangement only and two monuments (one of those is right next to the cache) are all the points of interest that Meleski has to offer.
Go to the glass factory and take a moment to feel the aura of this once all-powerful (and also, one of the oldest in Estonia) industrial enterprise.
The cache can be found without even using a GPS. Having found it (don't break or move anything), please put it back right where you found it, so that the container would stay on its place. Happy caching!
Meleski - koht päikese all, mille hiilgeajad on jäänud minevikku... Külale elujõulisuse andnud klaasivabrik on läinud hingusele ja alles otsib kohta tänases päevas, olles 2011. a. suveetendustel Ugalale teatrilavaks, ideede tasemel kultuurivabrik ootab teoks saamist... seniks ulub majade vahel tuul, päike paitab pilvedesse ulatuvat korstent, külamehed joovad bussipeatuses sõnatult õlut...
Külas on vana klaasivabrik (eraomand), klaasimuuseum (eraomanduses, külastada saab kokkuleppel) ja kaks mälestusmärki... Ühe juures asub ka aare.
Peatuge siis hetkeks klaasivabriku juures, mis on kui mälestusmärk ühele vanimale ja võimsaimale tööstusettevõttele Eestis ja üritage tajuda selle koha kunagist võimsust...
Aare on leitav ilma gps-ita, asukoht on määratud maa-ameti kaardil. Olles aarde leidnud (midagi ümber tõsta, lõhkuda, pole tarvis), siis palun pange ta tagasi täpselt samasse kohta, nii et tops jääks kindlalt püsima! Head otsimist, leidmist!
