How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
Approximately 40 locations around the world will be participating in this Multi-Event to celebrate the 12-12-12 date. We will not have a repeating date again for another 88 years. The mayan calendar suggests that it may not come to be if the end is on their 12-21-12 as they suggest. Maybe they just ran out of ink?!?! Anyhow space is limited to first 150 to sign up! Facility is Handicap Accessible! Kids are welcome!
I am putting this event together as a participant by making a special rendition of the geocoin for this last repeating number date. (I will be too old in 88 years for the next one! LOL) Please opt to come to this "Meet and Greet" at this nice eating establishment. I know it is a weeknight but if the end is coming maybe you can opt to call in for the next day. (Why waste a sick day!) The site is close and easy to Interstate access so it makes it quicker to get here and to get home from here.
Since this event is so close to Christmas, I have made an agreement with the NOYES HOME FOR LITTLE WANDERERS to give them a benefit from all of us attending geocachers. So please get in the Christmas spirit and give to these children who only have the Noyes Home to call home. They have just remodeled this over 100 year old building so as to have a new BABY room and a new TODDLER room. They need to fully furnish these with proper items for the babies and toddlers they serve. A wishlist or "Registry" is available at Target and Walmart of their needs. No need to wrap these items as they will gladly accept them in their original package! If you would rather, I will also have a donation jar for money so they can get these items or get items for the bigger kids for Christmas presents. Lets show them we care about these kids.
I will hope to honor some area cachers with some of their accomplishments this night as well.
Door prizes will be given away also.
You can order off the regular menu or if you really want to get into the spirit of the event order any of their 12-12-12 Event specials for $12.12.
6:12 register, be seated, and get food orders in!
8:12 announce milestones and accomplishments of area geocachers for 2012
9:12 draw for door prizes and dismiss, wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and safe trip home along with a reminder to call in tomorrow!

Don’t forget our effort to support the CHILDREN of Noyes Home for Little Wanderers. We will be accepting money donations or go to the registry for Target or Walmart under Baby or Wishlist (NOYES as first name and HOME as the last name) and see what they have marked as needs for their new baby room or toddler room. This home for kids has been around for over 100 years (1894) and can use some Christmas Spirit and funding for the kids. Please help them out.
We will have many door prizes here for probably everyone in attendance. Please email me (MO Pirate@ firstname.lastname@example.org) with any milestones that should be announced for a local cacher that has attained their special mark within the last year (2012). I will be announcing ones that I know have happened as well.
