Bring your family, this is a great place to learn some really great stuff. This public village is always open and a great calm walk, but the stores & buildings are only open on Sundays from 1 PM to 4 PM early June through mid October. Visit www.millracenorthville.org for more info.
Small space for trade items. EDIT: Camera has been removed to develop the pictures. Photos will be posted here shortly. Starting in the cache is 3 of my personalized calling cards.

INSIDE THIS CACHE IS A DISPOSABLE CAMERA - PLEASE TAKE A PHOTO OF YOU OR YOU & YOUR GROUP SOMEWHERE IN THE VILLAGE. There are terrific photo opportunities, such as:
- The Northville Bell - it really works!
- Any of the bridges located through the Village - especially with the river in the background
- The Gazeebo built by a local High School wood shop class
- With any of the crew from the Village (Sunday's only)
Once the camera is full, the photos will be published back on this cache page.
* In 1972, Mill Race Village was opened on the site of John Miller's gristmill because of a donation from Ford Motor Company. Located on Griswold Avenue, it is now home to:
- The New School Church, formerly the Northville District Library, which is still operating as a church[5]
- The Wash Oak School, built in 1873 and moved to the village in 1975[5]
- The Hunter House, a Greek Revival architecture house built in 1849[5]
- The Yerkes House, a Victorian architecture house built in 1868 for the wealthy William Yerkes[5]
- A Victorian-style gazebo built in 1979 by Northville High School students[5]
- The Cottage House, built in 1890s and home to a weaver's guild[5]
- The Hirsch Blacksmith Shop, a replica built in 1985, and home to the village's store[5]
- The Cady Inn, moved to the village in 1987, built in 1832, and a stop on the Underground Railroad[5]
- The Interurban Station, built in 1898 and moved to the village in 1990[5]
- A replica general store currently under construction
From September 2012 to Summer 2013, a camera was at this log for all cachers to take photos of themselves and their family having fun finding this one and at Mill Race! Take a look at the photos (contact me if you'd like yours to be removed). I'm happy to see so many have enjoyed finding this cache!
