NFL 2012 Week 3: Feeling like a Seahawk Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Marko Ramius: Since there does not appear to have been any response to the logs posted to this cache page, I can only assume that the cache owner is either MIA or is not willing or able to perform normal maintenance on this listing. Accordingly, I am archiving the listing to remove it from search pages and to allow for new caches in this area. If you would like to correct the issues for this cache, you can either create a new cache page or send me an e-mail with the GCxxxx code for this cache listing and I will un-archive it and review it again.

Thank you for your understanding and for your contributions to Geocaching.

Geocache Description:

This is the third week in our North County football series.

The rules are simple.  Every Saturday a football geocache will be released by one of six hiders somewhere in North County.  Anyone finding it between now and the kickoff of Thursday night’s game opener can choose a pro football team (the scoring period for week one is from 5:30 PM on Sept. 20 through Sept. 24). Your score is the number of points your team scores.  Of course, participation in the contest is optional, so you can still log the cache even if you want to sit on the sidelines.

The catch is that every team chosen must be unique.  First-to-Find has choice of any team, second to find has second choice, and so on.  The cache hiders are also playing, so that person will select sixth each week.

All news, scoring, and links to future caches will be posted on the season’s announcement geocache page (GC3VBNZ Are You Ready For Some Football) so put it on your “watchlist” if you want scoring updates.

I'm not a Seattle Seahawks fan but kind of feel like I have the longest trip to get to a game just like they do.  I still try to keep in the game and get an FTF but sometimes it's just hard to make the score after a long drive to the cache, perhaps that is what has been keeping the Seahawk's back all these years, or maybe it's the overcast and rainy weather that they endure most of the year.  Regardless most of the North County geocaching footballers will get to feel like a Seahawk and head a little farther north to claim this prize.

This scoring week the Seahawks get a break from the travel and they have a home game against the Green Bay Packers.
