日進変電所の近くに、太平洋戦争時代に使用された古い防空壕「日進変電所防空壕」が残っています。
昭和17年に配電盤を守る職員が避難するために作られました。 防空壕としては鉄筋コンクリート製は珍しい物で、この施設がいかに重要であったかがわかります。
