Geocache Description:

The foliage has been losing its freshness through the month of August, and here and there a yellow leaf shows itself like the first gray hair amidst the locks of a beauty who has seen one season too many ~ Oliver Wendell Holmes

Another summer has graced us with its presence and bid us adieu. Come reflect upon the passing of another Geocaching year with a bonfire on the beach of Oceanside Saturday evening September 29. Bring your beach blankets, chairs, and something warm to wear as the sun it setting earlier and earlier every day now. We’ll have marshmallows and weenies to roast as we celebrate the arrival of autumn. From 6PM to 8PM we will be at the 4th fire pit just south of life guard tower #1 at the end of Sea Gaze Drive. Posted coordinates are for the nearby parking lot where it is $8 all day or $2 per hour. You can also find free parking along Pacific Street.
