Lakeside Loot - Pirate Treasure Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Deceangi: Rather than keep this cache temporarily disabled (which should only be used for shortish periods) I'm archiving it. If/when the cache is ever replaced I'll gladly unarchive it assuming it still meets the guidelines.

Please avoid geolitter by removing any remaining traces of your cache or contact a local cacher to do so for you. If you are having difficulty doing so then please contact me via my profile and I will try to get someone to assist. This is particularly important if your cache appears to contain Travelbugs or Geocoins.

Geocache Description:

This (our first) cache is hidden within the grounds of Allestree Park and is a relatively easy discovery for those wishing add a little interest to a relaxing  stroll around the lake. The cache is near the shore of the lake so please watch your footing if the ground underfoot is wet. The area is frequented by anglers and dog walkers so stealth is essential.

There is parking in the main car park off the A6 or the Evans Avenue entrance. It is a five minute walk from either of these parking areas. The lake is said to be haunted by a 'grey lady of the lake' and there are reports by locals of a shadowy figure rising from the water on misty nights. A good friend of mine claims to have seen her many years ago! Please use stealth and hide the container well after finding as the area gets quite busy. Thank you.
