Geocache Description:

Another in my series of caches along my favorite trails. No redwoods here, just an oak tree. Located on the Bay Area Ridge Trail on the EBMUD property near San Leandro Reservoir. Start at the Chabot Staging Area north of Willow Park Golf Course. Inexpensive EBMUD Hiking Permit required-available online.

I was hiking this section of the Bay Area Ridge Trail and noticed there was this long section without a cache. When I spotted this tree I realized it was a great location for a cache. I looked in my pack and found I had left most of my supplies back in the car so all I had was a container and log sheet. So this is a minimal cache - no swag, no pen, no FTF prize - just the cache and a log.

I don't expect a rush for the FTF here. This is not an easy trail and is not used a lot by geocachers.
