Geocache Description:

A short drive on Point Church Road (old hwy 41) will take you past the site of Sunnydale Acres -about 728 address. During the 1950s and 60s this was a very popular Saturday night dance hall featuring the likes of Mac Beattie and the Ottawa Valley Melodiers. Not far from the point church is the home of Melissa Bishop who competed in the 2012 summer olympics. The point church served the settlers in the late 1800s but now has only summer services. The land for the church was donated by James McDonald in the early 1850s. You can find his headstone here in the cemetery. The McDonald homestead was across the road. The original log church was built in the late 1850s. It was destroyed by fire and the present church was built in 1897. You are looking for the usual pill bottle but very well camouflaged and hidden. Please walk in from the front gate. Terrain is a little rough but this old codger made it.
