The Mill mountain incline was a idea that was proposed in 1892. In 1909, 25 investors came together to make the idea a money maker.
For twenty five cents. 60 riders could make the half mile trip in 4 minutes.
The incline celebrated its inaugural voyage on August 10, 1910, and saw 1,500 passengers on opening day.
The investors celebrated their first year with profits. The next 8 years were not so successful for the investors.
In 1919 the Mill mountain incline was sold to a real estate magnate William Henritze.
Henritze ran the incline for next few years, but he also began work on a new project. A toll road up the mountain.
Work for the toll road was completed in 1924. In 1929 the incline was closed. In 1934 the remains of the incline were removed, and sold for scrap.

I have found new information, and the foundation remains and building remains belong to a old radio tower. The building was a maint. Type building. The old incline was really on the other side of the power lines. About 30 ft into the woods. There are no remains of the incline other then the rock bed that was placed for the tracks.
