Dino Descent 2 Traditional Cache
Binxywinx: Just don't have the time to maintain the Dino's, it's a high maintenance series and find myself not able to cache much just now. Hopefully there will be a new and improved Dino set at some point but for now it's time to say goodbye.

This is the second cache in the Dinosaur Descent trail designed to be done on the way down from the Dow Hill Walk in Girvan. Can also be done as stand alone series starting near the beach car park at Dino Descent 4.
Dow Hill Walk at Girvan is 3.5km
The little energy that is expended in doing this local favourite brings a rich reward. En route a good track climbs over the Ayr to Stranraer railway line and goes past a deep ravine locally known as "Sundown Valley". At the head of the ravine is a delightful spot where two burns meet.The Dow Hill (Pronounced doo) at 518ft is the site of an ancient fort and a good viewpoint. From the top there are breathtaking views of the Byne Hill, Ailsa Craig, the Isle of Arran, the Firth of Clyde and the town of Girvan. The walk is completed by descending South West to the railway line and along the footpath adjacent to the main road - this is the section of the walk we have placed the descent caches along.
Our Dino Series consists of micro and nano logs, in Dinosaur Themed containers. There should be no issue with the bison type micro cache's but the very small screw top nano cache's will definitely require tweezers or similar tool to extract the log.
Just for an extra bit of fun, we may have hidden a decoy or two around the co-ordinates - don't worry though you will know when you have found the real one as it will have a log and the decoys don't. Happy Dino hunting ;) Congrats bargee on FTF xx
This cache is a micro, near the road on the home stretch of the walk heading back to car park.
