Geocache Description:

This cache is located on the walking trail in Clonlea Park heading towards the local BMX track

This cache was originally going to be called Hewett's Habitats, but the day I released the cache, our beloved hand reared rainbow lorikeet Ozzie escaped from his cage. When I returned home I went to this location to place my cache and cried as I heard the birds in the area. I had originally picked this spot due to hearing the local frogs and birds every time my family and I walk here, so on this day I was hoping she was there amongst the trees.

Ozzie was a cheeky rainbow lorikeet that was originally brought for my mum but due to her cheekiness and my kids love of her she/he (we never knew what she was) made her way to our family. Our house was never quiet with the sounds of "Mums cheeky boy" "Ozzie" or her shrieks every time she wanted a kiss or cuddle, or just perch on your shoulder, she always wanted to be with someone.

Each of my kids wanted people to know how much she was loved and we hope she has found a mate and is being just as cheeky in the trees around Hewett where we walk almost every day calling her name. When people do the cache just call out "Hey Ozz Bozz" which is what we said to her every day, and maybe one day you might get a reply.

When retrieving the cache stop and think about the animals that have been special in your life. When you retrieve the cache please be careful not to drop it in the water. The cache is a small sistema container with enough room for small swaps, and is painted the same colour as its surroundings. As it was originally a tribute to frogs there is a little friend inside the lid, I hope he is my cache minder.

If you have not been to the area the cache is located right near a BMX track and in the lovely Clonlea Park. The gates are open to sunset everyday and have a tennis court, small playground, public toilets and a large grass area with massive trees. Come and enjoy a stay and play in my local park, where the caches are aplenty.

This cache was not intended to be difficult to find as it is out in the open. Please use stealth when retrieving this cache when the muggling walkers are out in force.

May the Bozzinator be with you all!!
