Geocache Description:

This cache is located at Oak Mountain State Park.  There is a $3 daily use fee to enter the park.  This cache is a Lock and Lock container.

Created by the CCC (Civiilian Conservation Corp) back in the early years of the 20th Century, this was one of the many trails used by the CCC in order to deliver workers to the center of the park.  This trail is maintained today by the State Park in order to provide emergency care to hikers or bikers involved in a life threatening situation.  But, mostly, the old Jeep Trail is used by Mountain Bikers that are ignoring the nearby trails.  This trail is also a spur of the Red Trail and is marked as such.  Unlike the Scout road, this road goes somewhere. It runs from Peavine Falls Road to the North Trailhead on Findley Blvd.

Bring your own Pen to the cache as it does not contain one.
