You will be standing on the site of Spennymoor ironworks and coke ovens During 1892 the Ironworks at Spennymoor grew to become the largest in Europe and today all that is left is a small hill of waste slag and the "DAISY FIELD" favourite of dog walkers and kids on small motorbikes.
From the top of the hill you will get a good view of the spennymoor rooftops and surrounding area.
