Geocache Description:

This cache is located in a Glacial Habitat Restoration Area, just east of Omro. The cache is a large container filled with swag. A fairly straight 500 yard hike from the parking area on a narrow path through prairie grassland. The cache is hidden near a pond on Spring Brook. While looking for the perfect hiding place, I woke up a dozen or so ducks resting here. I hope you will find this cache "Just Ducky".

Kids may take one swag item without making a trade.

This property is part of the Glacial Habitat Restoration Area (GHRA) which was established in 1990 to restore 38,600 acres of grasslands and 11,000 acres of wetlands to increase populations of ring-necked pheasants, waterfowl, and grassland songbirds in 24 townships in Dodge, Fond du Lac, Columbia and Winnebago Counties. DNR management of this area for wildlife, will allow continued restoration efforts, and provide additional opportunities for public recreation and education.

NOTE--- Cache will be disabled during the deer gun season and antlerless deer season for safety reasons.

A geocache notification form (visit link) was submitted to Bryan Woodbury at the DNR headquarters in Oshkosh. Approval was granted to place this cache. DNR approval is preferred before placing geocaches on DNR controlled lands. Caches should not be placed until the form is submitted to the appropriate DNR land manager.
