Geocache Description:

Cache is at posted Cords

Since I will be doing Cribbage Events...felt it was time to do a Cribbage Challenge Cache

To complete this challenge, you will have to first post a note, then the homework begins. We will be using the GC numbers and letters to form hands. Once you reach 121 points or more, you will then be able to sign your find online.

Starting from the time you posted a note, start going back in time with the caches you have found and look at the GC code and see if you scored any points using the cribbage way of counting points. (special note: since it is impossible to assign a suit (cluds, spades, etc...) there won't be a chance to score a perfect hand (29), nobs, or flushs)

A=ace, 2=two, 3=three, 4=four, 5=five, 6=six, 7=seven, 8=eight, 9=nine, 0=ten, J=Jack, Q=Queen, and K=King.

Examples: GC1P5QB...In that GC code you have a 5 and a Queen, which would give you 2 points (Fifteen for 2)
GC25G5K...In that GC code you have a 2, 5, 5, and a King, which would give you 6 points (Fifteen for 2, Fifteen for 4, and a pair for 6)

To help you out, I am going to allow you to have a wild card. To figure out your wild card, you are going to use your caching name. Take the first letter of your cacher name and use that as a wild card.  Example: BigCacher would use the letter B as a wild card. GC2BMM...in that code, BigChief could use the B as any card as he wants, so he might state that he selects B to be a 2...which would give him a 2 and a 2 giving him 2 points (a pair for 2).

If your cacher name begins with a number, spell out the number, example: 9friends=ninefriends
If your cacher name begins with a symbol, skip the symbol until you get to a letter, example: *child (the wild card would be C)

Here is a wrinkle about wild cards, since A, J, Q, and K are being used to create hands and your name begins with one of those letters, skip to the next letter. Example: Jack of all Caches. The Wild card for this cacher would be C (J and A can't be used)

Ready for another wrinkle about wild cards? I checked and Geocaching.com does not use I, L, O, S or U in their GC codes. So if your name also begins with one of those letters, skip to the next letter. Example: Undercacher...my wild card is N. Example: 6bugs...6bugs=sixbugs, the wild card would be X.

If for some reason your cache names has nothing but A, J, Q, K, I, L, O, S and/or U...send me a email and I will respond with a random letter to be your wild card.

One last note about wild cards, if for some reason you can, do not use your wild cards to create a 5 of a kind.

When you log your caches online include your points for that cache, running total, GC code, cribbage hand within GC code, name of cache, and mark the date on your last cache that gave you 121 points or more. If you would rather do a bookmark instead, thats fine too. Remember to start looking at the GC codes from the day posted a note (you may include this cache if you can get points from it) and go back in time.

When I looked back at my caches, starting from the day I placed this cache, I saw that I scored more than 121 points 4 months and 11 days ago and it took 43 caches to complete this challenge. If anyone completes it in less time and fewer caches, I will place you on the Wall of Fame.
