DAGEO Film Festival Power Trail - Cuz After Dark is the best time for a film!
The # 1 page (YOU ARE HERE!) will be a bulletin board for what is going on with the trail, road conditions and what not. A 39 cache (to be changed to 100+ soon!) NIGHT power trail! This is an ORV trail so get out your 4-wheelers, snowmobiles, and JEEPS! It starts at the beginning of the Felch Grade ORV Trail in Delta County. You absolutely can do this trail during the day, but we set it up for a midnight run - just because we love to cache at night. Every cache has a reflector set on the opposite side of the road (except for #26 SHREK which will be on the same side) directly across from the cache -and you can really fly through these if you go at night! All caches are within 15 feet of the trail (some much closer - within a foot or two). Don't go beyond any fences or onto private property. All of the caches are Film Festival style with a wire wrapped around and then hung on a hook. Please don't try to remove the cache from the wire, just lift the whole thing off the hook, remove the lid and sign the log. Currently,the trail will take you out to M69 but once we add on it will go past there. Please practice CITO and try not to hoot-n-holler as there are residences nearby some of the caches. We did a couple of run thru's and never used our GPS beyond the first cache. This is an old railroad grade so be careful. There are some steep grades and loose rock. If it looks like "I wonder how to get down there?" - you shouldn't because the cache probably isn't there! Cache #25 you will need to climb a steep hill but so far this is the most difficult and really isn't that bad.
