Αυτή η ιστοσελίδα έχει αρχειοθετηθεί λόγω έλλειψης αντίδρασης, μετά από μυνήματα που στάλθηκαν σχετικά με προβλήματα στην κρύπτη. Σημειώστε οτι η επαναενεργοποίηση μιάς κρύπτης απαιτεί την ίδια διαδικασία με τον έλεγχο νέας κρύπτης και θα ισχύουν οι τρέχοντες κανόνες.

Geocache Description:

A cache in Mt Penteli, very close to the top. Easy if you drive, hard if you hike or ride a bike.

An easy cache near the summit Pergari of Mt Penteli.  

The cache is hidden in the abandoned military campus in Penteli Summit. It is not actually at the top because the top is closed, used by antennas.

Travel to the top

 To go there by car there are 2 ways. The first is from Kifisia and Kefalari, and the second from Nea Penteli neibourhood. Actually this is the road connecting Kifissia and Nea Penteli. As you drive this road there is a sign to turn for "Moni Agiou Panteleimona" (St Pantelimonas Monastery). From there, follow the main road to the top. Don't turn left to the monastery.
  If you want to do that by bicycle this is one of the toughest uphills near Athens, with grades that exceed 16% in some parts. That is the way i travelled there to put the geocache
  Another way to reach the top is hiking, but i am not familiar with Penteli's paths.
  When you enter the army field you just have to park your car and search for the cache.

The cache

The cache is a plastic "tupper style" container. Unfortunatelly I could not put many things inside.
 Inside you will find a logbook, 2 pens (not for trade),a handwritten declaration in greek and english, 2 handwritten FTF certificates, one for the first greek (in greek) and one for the first non-greek (in english). Also a marker and  some "post it style" stickers for trade.
  Searching for the cache please becareful because there are broken glasses and rusty nails. Also take care of the strong winds. During the night can be pretty scary
