Geocache Description:

This geocache is part of the CCC - Legacy of Conservation GeoTrail. Will ARCHIVE July 26, 2016.

Each cache has a self-inking stamp that you can use to mark a passport. Fill the passport (available at Parker Dam, Lyman Run, and Sinnemahoning State Parks) and earn a trackable CCC GeoCoin.

S-146, Bark Shanty, PA was established on July 13, 1935. The camp closed near the end of 1941.

Work projects completed by the company include the Gaswell Road, leading from the lower boundaries of the camp site westward to the hard-surface road connecting Austin and Keating Summit. Jones Run, a road leading from the upper part of the camp site eastward, constructed during the latter part of the Spring months, and Trout Run, a connection between Pennsylvania highways 872 and 207, which was completely serviced by the camp service during June and July.
