The Historic Kauaeranga Hall was built in 1902 as a school for local farming families. The cache is hidden near the hall and is quite easy to find.
This listed Historic Building was originally a school (1902 until 1946). The children attending were mainly Yugoslavian from local farming families. These days it is used as a community hall by the valley residents. It is in a lovely spot and has nice grounds for passing people to picnic if there isn't an event on. There is parking available on the old tennis courts.
The cache is a small mint tin, covered in black tape to camouflage. It is round the back of the hall. Please don't go searching if the hall is in use.
