Howardian Trigonometry Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dalesman: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to my note I am archiving it.

Guidelines:**"You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."**

If you wish to contact me about this cache please use my Email address below my signature and quote the GC number of the cache. Please note this system is not infallible and I may miss any such mail.

Many thanks,

Geocache Description:

Congratulations to Mel and Freddie (once again) for FTF. It was a very wet and miserable day in Yorkshire with severe flooding in many places yet they were out caching... Hardcore!

This is a 35mm film canister. However, I have only put a nano log in the container, therefore there is extra room for swag. For example, I put a mini carabiner, a keyring and a couple of badges in it to get the cache started.
The location is on a path that our family love walking along. It is a favourite place for Sunday afternoon exercise. In summer it is a wonderful haven for wildlife and in winter it has its own beauty. The day we placed it the farmers were harvesting potatoes with a wonderfully complicated harvesting machine. Each time we visit there is something new to see.
The cache is hidden in/on a stone structure. There are two: an OS triangulation point and a memorial bench in honour of Peter and Susan Clive. A wonderful 360 degree view is to be had from here. When you've found the cache why not carry on along the path and enjoy the countryside around here. Update 12/11/2012:- As there is a series of caches along this path I suspect the cache will get more visitors than anticipated. I will replace the container on 17/11/12 and provide a logbook to suit the increased number of logs.
