Sax/Rat/Sax/Rat Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cornflakes: The road crew came by again with the most aggressive brush clearing and ditch digging yet. This has made access to the rat way more difficult, and his hiding place way more exposed. On top of that, the rat has disappeared again. This cache has had a good run but it just wasn't in a great spot. We are very sad to take it down as it is the first cache we have ever archived. Thanks to all who found it!

Geocache Description:

A very short walk to an unusual sight.

Please do not park along the road, as town trucks will be on the road and your vehicle will be in their way and will draw attention to the area. The parking coords are a very short walk from the cache. Look out for muggles and muggle dogs out walking.

A little history: This cache was originally a full-sized saxophone attached to a tree and called "Sax in the Country." In October 2014, the sax was removed by a brush-clearing crew, so we replaced it with something sort of similar--we only had to change two letters.

In June 2015, the sax came back! In April 2019, the sax got cut down again, so the rat came back. At this time we changed the name to reflect its back-and-forth history.
