A pleasant walk to a roadside hide
Long, long ago, before geocaching, we used to walk for exercise. (The younger Cornflakes ran cross-country.) Our regular route took us down this path to the point where beaver ponds had flooded the old road, and that was where we turned around. We measured the round trip from home to that point at exactly 3 miles. This cache is placed at about that point, which is an easy walk from the parking coords. Initial contents include some interesting items, so bring something to trade in case something appeals to you. Enjoy!
Update 5/17/20: There is now some large trash (tires and scrap metal) strewn on the hill above the cache. This was not there when we placed the cache, and I apologize for the eyesore. It's not super close to the cache but we'll keep an eye on it and move the cache if it gets out of hand. It's still a pretty walk!
