Please approach from the main trailhead parking lot. After about 0.16 miles on the trail up the mountain, veer right on the gravel service road. Leaving the service road around N 33° 48.527 W 84° 09.400 will avoid bushwhacking and enable hiking mostly on inclined granite a short distance to the cache. Over a half mile each way from parking lot to cache.
There is a $15 parking fee per vehicle to enter the park, or walk or bike for no charge through any gate.
At least two people should hike this side of the mountain together! Flashlight recommended if beginning an hour or later before sunset.
