You are looking for a micro hide here containing a log and pencil. There is space for a very small tradable or two only. The home is located only a short distance down the lane.
Some of you will not remember the T. Eaton mail order catalogue, very few of you will remember when you could buy a house from the catalogue! This hide brings you to one of the few remaining Eaton homes. In 1919, William B. Hextall, ordered this home which was delivered from Vancouver by train over the mountains and then by wagon to his homestead near Windthorst. Of course it was the material only to be assembled after delivery. This is a large three storey, six bedroom home that was only offered for a few years. It is the only one, of this design, believed to exist in Canada today. In 2004, Hextall's great grandson and his wife moved this building to it's present location. After four years of extensive restoration, Boxton Prairie Experience, opened it's doors as a luxury inn. It is furnished of the era with modern plumbing, heating and lighting. For more info about the home, you can visit Lloyd and Ruth.
