A few years ago I was kicking around the idea of getting my friends together annually to celebrate the supposed end of the world. I never did get around to it. Here we are. Just a few months away from the actual event itself. I realized that I haven't hosted enough events. Not that I would be a good host. Hell, I'm not even that great of a conversationalist. That is until I have a few drinks :)
So here it is!
One of the last in a series of twelve Meet and Drinks (responsibly of course)!
Here we can meet, have a few drinks, discuss caching (or the end of the world), discover, and trade trackable's till it's time to go home and sleep it off :) It may be a school night you know...
Venue for subsequent meets may change upon suggestions.
The twelfth and final meeting of this series will be held if we survive this end of the world thing I've heard so much about. If we don't survive it, you won't hurt my feelings if you don't show up :)

For years people have been worried about the date that the Mayan Calendar is set to end on –the last day of the '13th b'ak'tun'. That translates on our more widely accepted Gregorian calender to be 11:11a.m., December 21, 2012. Lately I have begun to notice MANY prophecies are surfacing from MANY cultures coinciding with this date in particular. The end of the Mayan Calendar. The Hindu prophecy that a Golden Age will come in the Kali Yuga. The Sumerians told of Nibiru. Where the Annunaki, or the Celestial Giants hailed from. The Hopi's nine signs. The Mohawk Prophecy of the Seventh Generation. The Chinese "I Ching". Even Nostradamus told of the "Time of Trouble".
So what will really happen on December 21, 2012? Are we all going to die? Will it be the judgment day that is described in the prophecy of Holy Bible? Will it destroy all people on Earth and the world as we know it is going to end in 2012?
Nah.
I don't think so.
I don't care really.
Just so long as Jophiel or Mtn-man keeps publishing caches after.
I'll be fine with that :)
