Geocache Description:

Welcome to Northern Ontario - Bruce Mines - Canada's First Copper Mine!

We're from SSM and travel to and from southern Ontario fairly often and while we're driving, we usually stop in a few different towns along the highway for gas or treats or bathroom breaks, so we figured we'd hide a cache in each of these towns! This one here in Bruce Mines is the first one we've hidden in this series. If you are traveling south, you can pick up more near the Elliot Lake turnoff, Blind River and one near Espanola and if you are heading towards Sault Ste Marie, don't miss the ones in Desbarats, St. Joe's turnoff and Echo Bay!
We spent a day caching here in Sept 2012 and had all kinds of fun so we wanted to give back, so to speak, by hiding one here for the locals and for cachers passing through town on the highway. There is room to pull off the highway and park near the sign.  This is a 'power'ful cache!
happy caching from thewilliams_6
Congrats to HappyGeoBunny on being FTF on this one! ** most likely not winter friendly unless you have snow shoes and don't mind digging a bit...**
