Geocache Description:

The cache is located at the Ribbon Falls and can be reached through Guinn Pass, Buller Pass or the Ribbon Falls trail. Each option has its own set of difficulties.

The cache name comes from a warning giving to us by another hiker while making our way up Guinn pass. We were told that there was a huge Grizzly bear wondering around the Ribbon Falls campground the day prior. They were by the water when the bear showed up and didn't care that there were people around. When the bear started coming closer they fired off a bear banger with no response, the bear didn't even flinch. Not long after that the bear wondered off but stayed near the campground for the next 4 hours.

The surroundings are very beautiful, If you have the time I recommend you take a weekend camping trip out there.

Enjoy the hike and the cache.
