Geocache Description:

A pine tree. Water. Carp. A bridge. Put these things together and you get an ukiyo-e painting.
Or, you have the setting for this isolated and picturesque cache site.

This pond was constructed in 1646 as an agricultural water reservoir by Katsuno Tarozaemon, a county court official of Owari. It was built to save farmers from a long lasting drought. Autumn moon viewing is particularly beautiful from this point.

Bring a pen (or Hiroshige woodblock carving kit) to sign the log.
