戦時中、北区は軍事施設の多い町でした。
その頃、区内に点在していた軍事施設を結ぶ軍用鉄道がありました。現在の都道４５５線がその鉄道跡に造られました。
以前、この場所は陸橋はなく、盛土の上に線路がありました。
重い荷物を積載した列車が走る時、鳴っていた鐘の音から「ちんちん山」と呼ばれていたそうです。
その盛土の下にトンネルがあり、キャッシュ付近にはそのポータル(入口)が復元されています。
