Another cache along the Maple Highlands trail. You will be looking for 2 drink container lids glued together. Placed with permission of the Park District. Please be aware that the trail is open from Sunrise to Sunset. The parking areas are open later but the trail is a dawn to dusk trail.
Welcome to the end of the Maple Highlands Trail. Or maybe its the beginning. I guess that is really a matter of perspective. Near by you will note a sign that says No Off Road Vehicles. These are also known as ORV's. This means that no dirt bikes or ATV's or 4 wheeler's or Snowmobiles. Personally I like to see signs like this because I've been on trails on my snowshoes and almost been run over by snowmobilers who thought that they owned the trail. Please be aware of muggles they can sneak up on you quickly.
