To get to this cache you need to head towards Childer's Cove. Before reaching here, you need to turn left onto a dirt track that is a NO Thru Road. The road has no name. We recommend driving at a slow pace on the track. A 4WD is ideal, however, a normal car that is not too low to the ground can easily make it up the track. Be careful in winter as it can get some holes full of water.
STANHOPE BAY Stanhope Bay is an almost circular bay, with a 200 m wide opening to the sea and a curving, 250 m long beach inside. The narrow beach lies at the base of the cliffs and is fronted by a shallow sand and reef bay floor. People have enjoyed snorkling here for many years, until recently, whereby you can no longer access this beautiful beach. Several years ago, there was a cave in, and the bottom steps to the beach collapsed in. it has never been repaired. Frog Brother One came here many times as a child and young adult and remembers the beautiful creamy coloured sand that was coarse and made squeaky noises as you walked. There is no need to try and get down to the beach to retrieve the cache (too dangerous). The cache is located near where you can park your car. The cache is a small systema and small exchanges can be made. There is a logbook and pen. The scenery here is very beautiful by the sea and you can walk along some old tracks to the left and right and enjoy the beaches of Dog Trap Bay (West) and a beach that seems to have no name (East). The beach to the East might be considered as part of Three Mile Bay (Frog Brother One calls it Jelly Fish Cove).
