Geocache Description:

The cache is one of 18 caches placed for the RiverRocks GeoTrail Challenge. This cache is an easy find on a moderate hike in the Patten Parcel, a recent acquisition of the North Chickamauga Creek Conservancy. The trail leads to the headwaters of North Chickamauga Creek.

If you are up for some old school geocaching, this challenge is for you! Take a hike down an old road bed into the North Chickamauga Creek Gorge and find some ammo boxes along the way.

Directions: Go up Signal Mountain via Signal Mtn Road/Taft Highway/US 127. One mile beyond the Hamilton/Sequatchie County Line, turn right onto Hall Road. Then turn left in about 0.7 miles onto Old Anderson Pike. Park on the right when the pavement ends -- Room for only one car. Do NOT park where the sign says NO PARKING.

Find this geocache as one of 15 required of the 18 RiverRocks caches to earn a RiverRocks geocoin. For Rules to get your free geocoin, see the RiverRocks GeoTrail Challenge.

Take a picture of yourself holding the ammo box so that the initials on the side can be seen and post on the cache page with your log. Or, email your picture to us or take one of the tickets in the ammo box as your proof of visit.

After completing the Challenge, show up at the RiverRocks Finale to collect your free geocoin. Only 100 were made, so don't dally!

CONGRATULATIONS TO FLAGG2007 FOR FTF!
