ROCK & ROLL
This Cache is based on Medicine Hat’s most visible landmark, the Saamis Teepee. The World’s Largest Teepee. Work through the puzzles, find the caches and turn your teepee from blue ?'s to yellow Smilies!!!
The World’s tallest teepee, the Saamis Teepee (build for the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics), stands more than 20 stories high and has a base diameter of 50 meters. Native art work depicting a colorful native history of Southern Alberta has been incorporated on 12-foot diameters storyboards. The teepee had more engineering challenges in its construction than did the Eiffel Tower, and is built to withstand extreme temperatures and 150mph winds. Its colors are white for purity, red for the rising and setting sun and blue for flowing waters. If you have not had a chance to visit the teepee I would recommend a visit to see the sheer AWE of the site. While doing the power trail please watch for traffic, be safe and most of all, have fun!!! Oh and watch out for the normal critters, snakes and such. May not be to winter friendly or to muddy when it rains.
