    L’aqueduc de Buc est un ancien aqueduc construit entre 1684 et 1686, il faisait partie des aménagements hydrauliques destinés à acheminer l'eau pour alimenter les fontaines du parc du château de Versailles. Il est classé Monument Historique.
    Contrairement à l'aqueduc de Louveciennes et à la Machine de Marly qui pompait l'eau de la Seine, (voir cache GC17Q12 La Machine ), il acheminait par simple gravité les eaux du plateau de Saclay.
     Cette cache vous fera découvrir d'une autre manière ce bel ouvrage, où il pourrait y avoir un jour, pourquoi pas, un sentier de randonnée et une piste cyclable franchissant en hauteur la vallée de la Bièvre !!!

Attention, il y n'a pas vraiment d'escalade pour atteindre cette cache, mais un peu d'agilité est nécessaire. J'ai maintenu aussi le terrain T4 car il est déconseillé d'y aller par temps de pluie. Les derniers mètres pourraient alors être glissant et dangereux. Par temps sec, on pourrait la côter T3

    Pour trouver la cache, prendre le sentier indiqué, passer le "trou" (voir photo) si vous voulez vous amuser, sinon vous pouvez continuer un peu plus loin pourpasser le mur bien plus aisément. Aller jusqu'à la grille (toujours fermée), et la contouner par la droite (en marchant sur le petit mur) pour arriver sur l'aqueduc.
La cache est placée au Spoiler. Un fil évite qu'elle ne tombe.

    Pour revenir au parking, j'ai été tenté de prendre le petit sentier qui descend directement sans repasser le "Trou", ne faites pas comme moi, car il aboutit à un grillage !!!!

    For the beginning, why the french name Le "eau" de l'aqueduc ? because water, in french "eau" sounds like "haut" (top in English), it's a pun ! Perhaps would it have been possible playing with words water and top, in order to find for this cache a so title as well...
    This aqueduct is an old one built between 1684 and 1686, it was part of hydraulic intended to convey water to feed fountains and streams of Park of Versailles. It's now an historic monument.
     Unlike Louveciennes aqueduct and the Machine of Marly that pumped water from the Seine (see Cache GC17Q12 "La Machine"), this one led water from Saclay heights by gravity.

     With this cache you 'll get another way to discover this beautiful construction, where might exist why not, a trail and bicycle path crossing high the valley of Bièvre!

Mind yourself, it's not really climbing to reach this cache, but a little agility is required anyway. I kept also level T4 because it is not advised to go there on rainy day: top of the wall would then be slippery and dangerous. In dry Wather, it's actually only a T3.

     To find the cache, take the path (see waypoint). Crossing over the "hole" is more funny (see picture), but you can go a little bit farther and cross the wall much more easily. Then go to the always closed door, go around by the right walking on the little wall, to get yourself on the aqueduc.

To get back to the parking, I was tempted going the small path that lead down directly without passing the "hole", don't do like me, because it leads to a wire fence!!
