Geocache Description:

This is where the new part of the 3-mile Water linear starts/ends at the back of Mossley Mill which is home to Newtownabbey Borough Council. The open part of the ground here near the cache wasn't the location of Mossley House but that of the courtyard and stables and later the garages/storerooms for the house. The house itself was built on the other side of the river closer to the new housing estate.

As the pathway is quite new it will take time for the plantlife to reseed and grow. Hopefully it won't become vandalised.

Suggest caution late in the evening or night time as there may be some undesirable elements of society lurking about. There are motion sensing cameras in this area, to record unsociable behaviour. The walk is much better appreciated during the day.

The cache is a small rectangular tab-lock box type container. Use stealth when operating on the cache.
