An interesting drive, not one you've probably been on! A regular passenger car can be driven with care fairly close to the placement. The cache is an ammo box.
There are special considerations about this area.
The area is State Trust land. You need a permit to geocache on this property from the State Land Department. An Arizona state land permit can be obtained by visiting the http://www.land.state.az.us/programs/natural/recreation_permit.htm, printing the required application, and mailing it (with a check) to the address listed. It is an easy process, and gives you access to many more areas to recreate...and geocache!
There is a mine near the geocache. There is a fence around it, but if you are going with children, you MUST NOT LET THEM NEAR THE MINE. It is very deep! There is target practicing also taking place here, sticky desert plants, and the usual heat and bug hazards of the area.
