At some point it occurred to me that we are certainly short of Letterbox hides in Jefferson Memorial Forest. This is my own pitiful effort to alleviate that problem.
The coordinates will take you to a point on the Siltstone Trail. From there you can follow your GPSr to the final waypoint, follow the directions poetically (or not) provided below or any combination thereof or therein.
From my point right off the path head east down the hill.
In just about 100 feet the quest you will fulfill.
You will have to hurdle the first large downed tree.
Almost immediately my hiding place you will see.
It is not in the roots stuck up in the air.
Nor in the hollow tree that is also there.
If of the cache you do not catch a glint.
Go ahead and check out the hint.
The cache is a small clear lock and lock containing only a logbook, stamp and ink pad. The stamp and pad are not trade items please leave them for the next cacher. If you do not have a stamp bring your own writing instrument to sign the log.
The coordinates have been averaged 100 times to within 8 feet. Your results may vary - but who cares. Get in the area, read the directions, use a little common sense and go get it. Yes, it is on the ridge.
