This geocache was placed on 3rd October 2012 to celebrate the first meeting of the University of St Andrews Geocaching Society. The first of it's type to be founded in the UK, it aims to allow students the opportunity to get together and enjoy geocaching, whilst providing a free and fun activity for friends and family. Additionally, with strong links to the Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences, it aims to educate the wider population in the use of GPS technology.
The cache is beside an iconic St Andrews site, so we hope you enjoy visiting our town and cache!
