The warthog is a member of the pig family that lives in Central Africa. These medium sized animals are often seen in large groups roaming the Serengeti Grasslands. They have adapted themselves to be able to survive the dry and wet seasons and often use their tusks to dig up plants or roots to eat.
The warthog also uses its large tusks to defend itself in from other warthogs and predators. The warthog has to keep its eyes out for cheetahs, lions, leopards, and hyenas. The piglets will also sometimes become pray to eagles and hawks.
