Geocache Description:

The listed coordinates will not take you to the cache site, but to a convenient parking spot off the main road, where you may start your search.

Looking to the opposite corner of the intersection, you will see a Memorial Bench. The bench honours the memory of Isabel Hunt, who was one of the inspirations for the network of pathways being developed in and around Ganges. Mrs Hunt lived long enough to see this first section of the path completed. She was the ribbon cutter at its official opening and one of the first to drive her mobility scooter from the opening (by the RCMP station) to here.

From the bench, the gravelled path runs eastward. Along the path, you will see a series of tall objects. On each of these objects, you will find a seven digit number. Those numbers, and the instructions below, will provide you with the final coordinates for the cache.

There are five of these objects, and five numbers to collect between the bench and the next road crossing the path.

Final: N 48 51.ISA W 123 31.BEL

Two of the numbers have adjacent pairs (eg 5337 has an adjacent pair of threes, 5373 does not). In one of these numbers, the repeated digit occurs a third time in the number.

The repeated digit of the other is I. It is also A

One digit occurs several times in the five numbers, but only once in the middle position. That digit is S. It it is also E

B occurs in all five of the numbers, but twice in only one of them.

There are two digits that do not appear in any of the five numbers. One is a prime, the other is L.

Digital root for the full coordinates is 4.*

*Calculating Digital Root: Add the digits of the number(s). If the result is a multi digit number, repeat until the result has a single digit. That result is the Digital Root.
