Geocache Description:

The purpose of this series is more than simple “hide & seek”.  Creating opportunities to challenge the Geocacher to consider ways they can improve conditions of health, education, understanding & awareness.

Wilderness Edge Nature Trail.  Besides the abundant birds, squirrels, ducks, deer, lizards and a wayward peacock in the park; we recently spotted red shouldered hawks hunting this area.

Come. Enjoy.  There is also a hummingbird that sits pretty on her tiny nest here as dozens of people walked by completely unaware!  There is so much to see and appreciate. Access from inside Memorial Park off the lake trail. Follow park rules & posted hours. No lighting in this section of the park. Please keep the Geocacher’s reputation clean, always be respectful and remember to practice Cache In Trash Out (CITO). Together we can make a difference!  Be careful, natural areas contain snakes. This cache is placed w/ permission. Cache is a camouflaged medium sized vitamin bottle, but large enough for TB’s & swag. BYOP.

If one way be better than another, that you may be sure is Nature's way. -Aristotle

Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you. -Frank Lloyd Wright

Man has been endowed with reason, with the power to create, so that he can add to what he's been given. But up to now he hasn't been a creator, only a destroyer. Forests keep disappearing, rivers dry up, wild life's become extinct, the climate's ruined and the land grows poorer and uglier every day. Anton Chekhov -Uncle Vanya

Nature can do more than physicians. -Oliver Cromwell

There is a way that nature speaks, that land speaks. Most of the time we are simply not patient enough, quiet enough, to pay attention to the story. -Linda Hogan

To speak truly, few adult persons can see nature. Most persons do not see the sun. At least they have a very superficial seeing. The sun illuminates only the eye of the man, but shines into the eye and heart of the child. The lover of nature is he whose inward and outward senses are still truly adjusted to each other; who has retained the spirit of infancy even into the era of manhood. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Choose only one master - Nature. -Rembrandt

We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass - grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls. -Mother Teresa

Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished. -Lao Tzu

I am at two with nature. -Woody Allen
