You are lookin' for a bison very well concealed. Plan to spend some time searching -- lots of hiding spots. $1 for FTF.
Doc Cavalliere Park is a 34-acre park which includes 2 lit basketball courts, playground area, picnic ramadas and a desert hiking trail around the peak. Open sunrise until 10:30pm. Be sure to check out the 3 large metal plates with viewing holes that align with the highest point on the nearby peak.
As always, watch for desert hazards -- thorns, snakes, scorpions. Also, be extremely careful during or after rains -- do not cross any running water.
