Geocache Description:

This should be an easy P&G. No need to get your feet wet.

Officially named "Dry Run Creek" this river is a tributary to the Ocheyedan River. Through the years we have seen the Ocheyedan River run dry but the mighty Dry Run Creek had kept flowing.
On your quest in the search for this cache you might happen to see a blue heron who has made this part of the river his home the last couple years. There also was a nest of mallards in the early spring just to the south. If by chance you are here around dusk or dawn you could also happen across some muskrats or a couple of beavers. In 2011 the beaver came in this area to make a home (a beaver dam). It was washed away early spring in 2012 but never the less they had not given up and in the fall of 2012 they are in the process of making another one just south of the bridge by the tree. If you look close you can see the progress. In the spring of the year after a rain you might see a raging river so be careful and beware of the mighty Dry Run Creek!
Also in the heat of the summer months you might come across a couple of river waders searching for clam shells and crawdads! No need to mention their names! Kudos to moviecatz being FTF! You have truly humbled us to be FTF on our first cache! We have always look forward to finding your caches!
