This cache was placed by the Spokane Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. The Sons of the American Revolution is the leading male lineage society that perpetuates the ideals of the war for independence. As a historical, educational, and patriotic group of men, we seek to maintain and expand the meaning of patriotism, respect for our national symbols, the value of American citizenship, and the unifying force of "e pluribus unum" that was created from the people of many nations -- one nation and one people. The structure next to the cache is our free Flag Museum of Spokane. We open the museum on the second Saturday of each month. Inside you will see the history of the American Flag starting with a replica flag flown by Christopher Columbus up through American Flag we fly today.
