Piggy Point Cache Traditional Cache
Tula: Due to Covid restrictions I can’t travel to the area with another person. It’s in a remote place that I don’t visit on my own.

Piggy Point marks the western limit of Rough Bay. It is also on the path to the site of one of my favourite childhood haunts, the abandoned Palo farm with its derelict farmhouse and apple orchard.
This cache is very close to 1st. Street, the road that follows the shoreline once you turn left after coming off the ferry. Park just before the road turns away from the water and heads uphill. The cache is a very short walk away.
Piggy Point is not named after a pig farm but is a reference to the first residents' very slovenly housekeeping habits. If you continue along the path after finding the cache you will find a very scenic little bay that is perfect for beachcombing or a leisurely picnic. FTF prize is a small pewter sailboat.
