Reminder: The coordinates lead to a preform in a large clump of bushes. The logbook and cache are a few meters away, through the tunnel.
The preform contains a syringe, tube and instructions.
This cache uses the principle of hydraulics so that you can reach the logbook.
This cache is for the CAR event. It should not be sought until October 20, 2012. Any logs before that will be deleted.
Hydraulics are used in many things, from excavators to your car’s brakes. This geocache also uses hydraulics so that you can retrieve the logsheet. There are no needles attached to the syringes.
Please note that when drawing up water, the water will not fill the syringe. This is normal. The water will be in the tube.
Water is an incompressible fluid, meaning that no matter how hard you push, it will not compress. Therefore, when the water is syringed into the syringe in the bottom of the cache, the plunger inside goes up, and the log is reachable.
Please remember to reset the geocache by disconnecting the tube from the geocache and using the pencil’s eraser to press the log and plunger in the cache back down so the next cacher can enjoy the fun of using the hydraulics. Cap the syringe with the small inch-long tube attached to the cache. Return the syringe, tube and instructions in the preform exactly how you found it.
Walk into the bushes through the hole and walk through the tunnel. Please don't bushwhack or harm the vegetation, as it is now illegal.
