Geocache Description:

Argh !! The cache is not at the above co-ordinates, but it's a good spot to drop anchor .  So this is for those cachers who like a bit of a challenge. Mates , to find the treasure you'll need to solve a navigational problem.

The night was dark, with mist below and cloud o'erhead. The barque rode at anchor, for the pirates had lost their bearings and the coast off which they lay was girt with many a reef and shoal. Suddenly the mist cleared. "See yonder light " said one "that comes and goes , now red , now blue ". 'Tis the Double Head light, which sendeth forth a ruddy beam that, travelling from north to east and so through south to north again , maketh full circle each minute of time : and likewise a blue , that goeth round in the same fashion , but one half so fast. "Aye ! "said another " and since 'tis known that when'er the blue shineth towards the north, the red ray doth the same, we may by just comparison of time discover our bearings. "
The red beam shone and passed ; after a minute came the red again ; and seventeen seconds later came the blue. Then the mist thickened and they saw no more. " Ho !! Geo. Cacher the Navigator " they cried, " Come reckon us a bearing from yon lighthouse. " And Geo. being skilled in figures , did shortly discover that they lay therefrom at such and such an angle to eastwards of the north.
