Geocache Description:

This is a magnetic cache in the ten foot between Westbourne and Marlborough Avenues, in the Avenues area of Hull.

A "ten foot" (as locals will know), is the name of the ten foot wide access road at the back of many houses in Hull and surrounding villages. This particular ten foot links Westbourne Avenue with Marlborough Avenue, and is very handy because Salisbury Avenue stops at the Westbourne roundabout.

I thought the Avenues were lacking caches when I planned this (my first cache!) but happily some others thought the same and there are many more in the area now, so you could have a stroll around the Avenues conservation area, taking in the tree sculptures, architecture, and perhaps heading down to Prince's Ave for a drink and a bite to eat, while collecting caches on the way.

This cache is a magnetic key holder, and contains a logbook, pencil, fake moustache and sticker (not much room in there). Although the tenfoot parallel to the Avenues is gated, the cache is accessible from either side of the gate. You can access it 24 hours a day, but I would recommend not venturing into the ten foot alone in the dark. If you don't meet any suspicious characters, you might be mistaken for one! It can be puddly if it has rained recently too.
