A circular walk between through the Essex countryside of just over 7 miles from Bocking to Stisted and back or vice versa. There are 25 traditional caches on the circuit of varying sizes for you to look for. There are eating and drinking establishments in both Bocking and Stisted for half way refreshments. Walking is relatively easy, with a few stiles. Some sections are quite muddy in winter. You will need to cross the busy A130 twice on the walk, so please be careful.
Directions given are based on walking in an anti-clockwise direction around the circuit. You can of course go clockwise if you wish.
When first selecting hiding places a herd of deer ran through this area at close range and on placing the cache at twilight, we saw bats flying over the nearby wood.
This cache is a small plastic container with a log and pencil, with room for swaps and small trackables.
Stay on the footpath around the edge of the fields and you will reach the next cache.
